Overview

The City and County Council of Swansea (CCCS) sought to demolish the old football and rugby stadia and replace them with a multi-purpose stadium, releasing valuable housing land on the football stadium site.

CCCS had insufficient funds to manage this development in-house and only completed the project with the assistance and financial support of Miller Developments.

The project was highly complex, consisting of a number of elements, such as:

  • Football and rugby combined stadium;
  • Enabling retail development;
  • Upgrading local educational sports facilities;
  • Local road and infrastructure upgrading.

In 2003, Kingston acted as the Development Manager through to the successful completion of the project in 2005.
