Overview

In 2013, the Kensington Hotel was granted the planning permission and the listed building consent for its full refurbishment.

The exterior of the building was to be refurbished and redecorated, while the seven-story interior was to include full ground-floor public areas, a basement gym, modernized suites on its five guest-room floors, and a new lift configuration. Historic features such as the main stairs and the window surrounds were to be retained and refurbished as well.

The contemporary-style rooms retain several historical features, many of which were uncovered during the works. The stylish reception is now directing new clients into a series of themed lobby spaces, a new ground-floor bar and a re-styled ground-floor restaurant along Manson Place.
